I wanted to make a Halloween pattern and when I thought of what would be a scary item, I immediately thought of spiders and black widows. Black widows still give me nightmares on occasion and so I made one to fit on my desk for the holidays. I also made a slightly larger version with thicker legs to be a normal black spider pattern and he turned out nicely.

Size US 3 (3.25 mm) dpns are used for the I cord legs and a US F (3.75 mm) hook is used for the body.
