My sister-in-law has been asking me for a hat for a while, but it was one of the things I had not tried to make and I was worried about fit. She has a larger head than I do, so I could not use myself to size it. After a long time, she chose this pattern. I looked around for a long time for the right yarn. I knew I wanted cotton and she said she wanted mustard yellow. I got the closest I could and started in on the pattern.

The first part of the pattern built up very quickly. The only part of the pattern I was a bit unsure about was the row joins. The clusters do take a while, but that is to be expected. It came out beautifully and she was thrilled.
