I’ve been crocheting for a long time but the herringbone double crochet stitch (hbdc) was totally new to me. The designer provided an excellent hbdc tutorial which helped me considerably!

I added more rows to the base and sides to make a slightly wider bag. Finished size laid flat is about 9 in. X 6 in. I used quilting cotton for the lining.
