Forgot to add that even though the pattern is written for DPNs, I’m knitting these magic loop, two-at-a-time. With sts divided evenly on both needles.

Tip for magic loop method:

When you start the heel flap you should be working left to right all the way until the heel turn. When you start the left heel turn don’t knit the last knit side decrease. Instead move to the right hand sock and knit the heel turn all the way to picking up the 16 sts on the left side of the right sock. Then knit the last heel turn row and pick up the 16 sts on the left side of the left sock. Now you should be set to continue knitting in the round as before.

Another tip, place stitch markers during the heel turn so you don’t lose your place and miss a decrease.
