Originally cast on the adult small size but it looked way too big. Did a fit test and sure enough it was too large. Since I was at a retreat I didn’t take the time to make a gauge swatch. Rookie move on my part. Frogged it and used the equations from my hat design class I took from WEBS Expert Knitter Program and decided the child large size would fit me or someone else if I decide to gift it.

I also went down a needle size to a US2 and 3.

Finished the brim and one repeat and like the way it looks and fits. I may put a life line in at some point because I’ve read notes from other projects where knitters have decreased earlier than the pattern.
