Yay, my yarn finally arrived!

Swatching.
Ribbing seems good on 4,5mm needle (no gauge specified).

Oops! Forgot to measure before blocking…

Brioche seems okay on 4,0mm before blocking.
Will try 3,5mm, since pattern warns it may get more loose with blocking.
Also trying 3,0mm.
Doesn’t seem to matter much before blocking.

After blocking:
3,0mm needles gave 14st/10cm, 24 rows/10cm.
3,5mm needles gave 13st/cm, 20 rows/10cm.

Will use the 3,5mm needles.

Short rows: wrap & turn method as in YouTube tutorials, but with pink on Brp row. Strand of yarn goes to the purl side of it’s color.
Must remember to PURL the wraps and fiddle the wrap to the back.

Making size S, 98cm.

Collar: 6 rows of k1, P2 rib

First fitting of yoke.
It’s 18 cm. I will do 2 more brk rows and then the short rows. This will tilt the yoke, so I’m aiming for slightly less than 20 cm at the front.

Will need 4cm of short rows, so 8 rows.

Then fit again, maybe block it first. If it’s too short, I will add some more rows before splitting for body and sleeves.

Marking sleeve separation points. I will do 37 st for sleeves and 59 st for front and back.
Then cast on 5 st under arms, pick up 11 st (!) for sleeves.

Short rows: 8-4-4 intervals (counting pink only!)

Fitting after short rows: improved fit, does need about 2-3 rows more

Oops. I knit 10 cm (20 rows) before the first increase on the sleeves. I think it will be fine. Doing every 10 rows from now on
