Starting:
After struggling through the German pattern directions I finally figured out that the pattern is translated into several languages and the English pattern name does link to the ravelry database; who knew. It was a good exercise for me to keep those gray braincells active.
INSTEAD OF putting the extra stitches onto some yarn when knitting the short rows I slipped them onto knitpicks cables. This made picking them up later very easy, too. Another change I made was blocking the finished piece on a blocking mat with pins and spray-bottle with soak instead of steaming it with an iron. Such a nice easy little shawl; I am thinking to make another one with sock yarn on big needles for a different look :)
