Growing up in Germany my best friend Elke always had a blue budgie called “Bubi” ( little boy). She had Bubi I, Bubi II, Bubi III and Bubi IV when her daughter grew up
I am making this one for her. An easier to take care of budgie which will hopefully bring just as much joy.

Wish I had watched this video before starting. Instead I did the magic ring from memory and botched it a bit.

Body is done and wings are almost done.
I also formed the claws with copper wire but may redo it, because the toes are very short.

Re-did and wrapped the claws using decoupage glue. I used the same glue to glue the layers of his comb.
For the eyes I worked french knots instead of beads; I much prefer that method.
Very close to done and think I am pushing through once the glue is dry.

Not my best work, but I am happy I made it for my friend.
If I ever made it again, I would use softer yarn.
