I think if I made this again, I would knit it in the round instead of seaming.
11.5.: Divided for the legs and wonder why I didn’t think this through more. I could have knitted in the round up to this point and then with just two balls of yarn instead of having to juggle three balls at this point for the next 16 or so rows. Note to self: knit in the round next time.
11.25. A Thanksgiving fitting reveals that it is a bit snug. To remedy this, I am planning to seam together by adding a 1 inch strip along the middle instead of seaming directly.
12.6. Another fitting, a few inches later and this time with the pieces seamed provisionally, shows that it’s actually a good fit as is. I am glad I won’t have to add anything, but just need to keep going for a few more inches. She is so good to let me try it on her.
12.19. Did the seaming and picked up sts for the ribbing. I may just have this finished for Christmas.
