Making this for 2023 yarn bombing in Formby, UK, my husband’s hometown.
Using bigger needles and thicker ( acrylic) yarn so it can withstand the outdoors better for the day.

I am working this on two circular needles instead of DPN’s as it is my preferred method for small circumferences in the round. Working this way, I am able to eliminate a few steps ( for example using scrap yarn when leaving gaps for the arms.
If I did this again, I would knit the two times four stitches for the eyes on waste yarn much as one does for an afterthought heel, rather than cutting the thread later. I think that would be less fiddely.

Found the little flags on Etsy. Very well made, durable, but so durable that sewing them on by hand I broke two sewing needles. sweat_smile and stabbed my finger.
