Notes

Saw someone in the knitting group work on this and love the idea of using up remnants from sock and shawl knitting.
Had I given this more thought, I would have gone with different colors.
Making it into a pillow as I seem to be bored with this project already. I also don’t like the constant interruptions in the flow of knitting, same reason I don’t much like entrelac….
But it is coming out nicely ( as a pillow) and i quite possibly will make more.
Change of plan: I am making this into a cover for my footstool/ ottoman which is quite ripped and ugly looking.
I am calling it Wimpel cover, because the triangles look like pennants to me.
7.5. Finished the four squares ( 10 square inches), now on to the border. Have not decided yet if I will make the other side similar or totally different ( perhaps a mosaic theme).
8.7. Finished , now on to four more sides for the footstool.

11.6.: All five squares are finished and blocking.

The final finishing of the whole cover was November 21.
Although at closer look you can see that it is not perfectly done, I love it smiling_face_with_3_hearts
It gives the room a happy splash of color.
All seams are crochet and the finished cover fits nice and snug. I put a 1/2 inch foam square on the top before pulling the cover over. It gives it a nice cushioning and keeps the cover from slipping.
