A gift with the request for a beanie style hat.
Just what I had asked for for my birthday: yarn and a pattern to make something for the gift giver. Result: No doubt that the finished project will be liked and worn.

Second time this month to use the German twisted cast on.

CO 120 sts
3x2 ribbing to 8 inches.
For the decreases I followed the lead of some other knitters and did a k2tog ( one purl Stich and one knit stitch).
After the initial decrease row I worked in pattern to three sts before the marker, P1, K2tog.
Changed to US#3 when I was about half way though the decreases, then to US #2 for the last four rounds.
Perfect look and fit! Very pleased
