Notes

Picked up 56 stitches and knit in ribbing k1, p1 in the round. I had envisioned to make the 12 inch “cuff” with a rolled neck and looking like a sweater, but about 3” into it I didn’t like the look. It seemed to take away from the monkey head. Now I just do the ribbing in color A (unless I run out of color A in which case I will finish in one of the other colors). Ended up using color A and C bringing the total length of the cover to 15”.

7.21. Glasses are a little lop-sided, but that’s OK. Now on to picking up stitches around the neck and knitting the body. I want to make it about 12” long total to fit comfortably over a golf club.

I single crochet around the outer mouth and stuffed it with some fiber fill when I sew it on, making it more 3-dimensional.

Using the hat design to make a golf club cover.
