Use Jill’s yarn

I don’t want to do a turtleneck, so I I did four rounds of ribbing, then started on the yoke.
My first experience knitting with unspun yarn.
This video helped, especially the five tips in the last two minutes and from that especially the last tip, what to do when the yarn breaks.

I only researched this after already starting on the yoke and using very thin strands of yarn in two or three sections. I hope it will not create a hole, but hold up long enough for me to wash/ block it which should cause it to “marry” together .

Eight more rounds to finish the chart, but I am putting it away to work on after I get back home from Winter Vacation.

Picking this up again and see how far I will get before shoulder surgery.

Divided body and sleeves.

I am knitting along on the body increasing the body sts to 168. I am thinking that I may wear this more without sleeves; kind of as a vest. I put in “sleeveless Icelandic pullover” and felt validated when I came across the Reyka Pullover pattern.
This will be perfect ( without the hood, since I just knitted a hooded vest).
And I think I may be able to finish within the week I have left before rotary cuff surgery on my shoulder. Perfect!

Tried it on at 10“ after the armhole. It doesn‘t need more than four more inches and then the body ribbing ( chart B). And it does not need any more increses.

I should have tried this on more often. I finished the body one inch shorter than the pattern calls for, but even so it is longer than I had wanted it, but I think I can live with that
Now it’s just a few rows around the armholes, ribbing and bind off.

One sleeve done and I will tackle the other one tomorrow.
I used Suzanne Bryant’s method for no holes underarm pick up and knitted two rounds , then 2x2 ribbing (64 sts) for a total of three rounds, then bind off.
