Notes

When I saw the pattern in the Fall 2011 issue of “Interweave Knits”, I was reminded of Emma Timmins in “Lark rise to Candleford” (a favorite series of mine). This shawl looks like an essential to keep warm rather than the lacy shawls in lighter yarn worn by the gentry of that time; thus something we can really use up in the cold North-East. I am looking forward to snuggle in this come winter.
Since this is done in a bulky yarn it is a relatively quick knit and I will keep this pattern in mind for a gift.
Kittinmanic knitted one of these repeating the 12 row leaf lace pattern three times making it a really nice large size. To see it click here: link text
