I am practicing on the sampler from the book before designing my own full size Gansey jumper.
10.11. I learned the Chanel island cast on today. A nice sturdy cast on which looks pretty, too, although my “beads” don’t look as pronounced. I will try to do better in the second piece.

For the shoulder straps I used both Methods of provisional cast on. The invisible cast in was new for me.

November 27: I finally picked this up again after a long break from it during which I was sidetracked and worked almost exclusively on the waveform sweater test knit. Finished the second sleeve and the neckband in one afternoon.

Gansey sweaters have caught my attention and imagination. I am very much looking forward to designing my own.
