I knitted this as described in the pattern without alterations, and the shape is off. The shawl is somehow skewed and not symmetrical as is obvious from my pre-blocking pictures. I am curious to see how it acts when the shawl is dry. I will block it with wires and really stretch it into shape.

I think it is the nature of the type of increases and decreases in this particular pattern that results in a slightly skewed shape, I hope blocking can change that.

Update
It blocked beautifully and is now a perfect triangle. I used wires to really stretch out the fabric during blocking and it did the trick. I am extremely pleased with the result, the shawl is wonderfully squishy, light and adds just the right amount of wamth around my neck and shoulders. The colour is coral pink. I held the yarn double and knitted increases and lace pattern until having used around 45% of the yarn forming the tip, and for the rest I knitted inwards doing the decreases. I was left with a tiny amount of yarn enough for future mendings if necessary. Doing this if knitted a few more rows than what the pattern called for. My version is a little bit larger than the pattern.
