Adapted from Judith Shangold’s fantastic book Weave Knit Wear.

I left part of the side seams open for slits. The fabric is gathered very slightly underneath the tapestry bits for a little more shape. At the back, that wasn’t quite enough, so I added a pair of tucks.

The tapestry is adapted from Celtic Charted Designs by Co Spinhoven (um, no, edit - it isn’t! Now where did I get those hounds from? Did I chart them myself? Hmm…) The colourwork is done in embroidery floss (6 strands), the background in sock yarn.

The ties are fingerlooped square braids, made from the same yarn as the jacket.

The beads are brass and designed for stringing onto your dreadlocks, apparently!
