Notes

Love this and have been wanting to knit it for a long time. This is a special wedding gift for a very special couple. I’m hoping to knit another of these for myself because I love it so much!!

MODS: I cast on two extra stitches for a neat edge on each side because I planned to knit the border on. Picked up stitches starting at the bottom right corner on the right side of the blanket using a separate ball of wool (picked up one whole side at a time). One size smaller needle for the border. Provisional cast on with waste yarn. Started the border on row one by knitting each row of the pattern backwards.

King Charles brocade diamond pattern (found online) in lieu of the flower panel. I love the soft squishiness of these diamonds. I would have knit the flower panel if it didn’t have big loopy leaves coming off the stem. I may try to find a different flower pattern to knit here someday.
