Used gauge swatch for back of hood. Hood completed today.
Completed hem. 15 rows of k3, p2
Zipper front and hood; crochet sl st in yellow. Pup sts in gey with US11 into back Leg of sl sts. St st 4 rows. Left front: With hook F sl st down on wrong side from hem to beg of hood. K row 5 around hood, sl st right front from end of hood to hem.

Hem: US11, MC in ea sc and ch1 space, pup and K 1 st in front loop and 1 st in back loop. Picking up 2 knit sts per crochet st.
Next row: k2 tog 4 times, p2. K2 tog 3 times, p2. Rep from, ending with k2 tog 4 times. 90sts

The hood starts with the striped swatch I did. Too cute! I am loving this coat. It is hefty.

The hood has a 10 sided hexagonal look to it. I used a tie string from an old pair of pajamas. The zipper will hopefully be recycled from my old hot pink silk jacket.

For the last pocket I am going to use a swatch I made in September 2022 in the same batch of yarn.

Folded Cuff:
US8 k in the round. 50 sts
K3, P2 ribbing 15 rounds
1 P round
K1, P1, K1 ribbing 15 rounds
Sew live sts down to inside of cuff.

Picking up sts
To remove bulk: for ea sc and ch 1 space, use US8 to pup 2 sts in ea st. 1 in back loop and 1 in front loop. Dec to 50 sts.
