I loved the Aran-weight version of this hat, but wanted to try it in a chunkier, bulky yarn. I had this lonely skein of the Lamb’s Pride Bulky and it looks great! So toasty warm.

Even on the same size 10 needles, the gauge is a little bigger than with the Aran-weight version, so I skipped the non-dec rows in the pattern at the top.

I skipped Rows 43, 45, 47, and 49. This ended up with a hat that is about 8 1/2” tall and 20” around.

I used up most of the 1 skein of yarn. Had ~21g leftover, not quite enough for a pompom, sigh!
