This is the first version I knit for this design.

It’s different from the finished pattern in that the second lace band is the first 10 rows of the Big Leaf Lace instead of the eyelet lace.

It’s an easy change to the pattern if you prefer this look.

The Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk is the same exact yarn as the one used in the pattern sample, but somehow this brown color (Color 5) is ever so slightly thinner and more delicate. The yarn also has a slightly heathered look to it that makes this sweater quite pretty!

I used 4 balls for this. There was not much left, so the pattern says 5 balls for size S to include a little padding.
