This project got derailed hard by life. Picking it back up because the last tie is about to be snapped. ah

2020-09-16

Haven’t touched it in almost a decade, only managed 7 rows in the first place, and already deviated from the pattern before I got started again. :D Impressive. I’m going to carry on.

ohhh, hey, lol, I don’t think I finished the palm, so these are going to be all the way around? oh boy. noooo, I did make the palm, just didn’t sketch it out all the way. This is going to be interesting.

2020-09-17

going to change up the palm view, why not :D

My knitting is a little corrugated, I need to relax. :)

2020-09-29

Really love the squares section, and managed to relax a bit while knitting it. Almost to the end of the glove, then the top of the thumb and one done!

Question is, do I make the second match?

2020-10-03

This whole nonsense with two colour ribbing on tiny needles is hard enough when there are many stitches, but with DPNs on 26 stitches, it’s just shit, lol. So fiddly. Not fun. Blargh. :P

Grammarly notes I sound angry. #nailedit

2020-10-03

I think these are actually too big for me. Hunh. Well, this one single one is too big for me.

2020-10-04

Started the second glove. Still really hate two-colour ribbing, even more when starting it. ;)

2020-10-06

Got it all done, now on to the fun part. :D

2020-10-06

Second time is faster than the first, as usual. Still not super happy with my tension, but it’s blocking out on the first one, so I’m sure it’ll be fine on this one, too.

2020-10-07

Looks like the hand is about 4cm too long. Considering adding tops to make them mittens instead. Rolling the top back helps a lot. Otherwise, my pinky is lost.

2020-10-12

Nine years and all the ties have been snipped. Feels a bit anti-climactic, but also like recovering from an illness where you’re measuring every improvement and every moment of being not-quite-there until suddenly you aren’t and you’re running and laughing and it’s all in the very distant past, just a ghost that sometimes blows through gives you a momentary chill in the hot sunshine.

Knit knit knit adapt knit knit. Got the thumb started and trucking right along, 15.5cm knit now.

2020-10-16

Almost at the end of the finger part, then a little thumb to do, then I will see if I have enough yarn for a third mitt. I may just add yarn in randomly, it is a glitch pattern, after all! :D

2020-10-18

All done! Not enough to do a third glove after all, but I’m happy with the two. :)

Weaving in ends so I can put these babies to use!
