Notes

This UFO is not only UnFinished, it’s UnFound. I was working on it one summer until it was too hot to hold it on my lap. I stashed it away - somewhere.

The plan is to make the blanket in four pieces, joined as an X along the diagonals. The two sides are 45-45-90 triangles formed by increasing one st at each end of alternate rows. The two ends are also triangles until the increases reach the same number of stitches as the sides, then I’ll work even with another color change to make the finished proportions about 5:7. The inner color bands will form concentric nested squares. I’ll complete the piece with a contrasting border.

I worked in seed stitch but any other regularly spaced pattern stitch would work as well.

The piece shown is one of the ends. I’d finished the increases and nearly finished the final color band. Wherever I put the thing, it’s still on one of my Knit Picks ‘options’ circular needles.

I should get married again. A wife would likely make me put my things in order, but it gives me the willies to think I could get another like the first one! ☺
