I bought a 47” nickel plated circular needle from Knit Picks specifically for this pattern, as I know it will take a long time to complete, and now I don’t have to worry about needing the needle for other things.

7/19/2013 - NOTE on the needle: The needle actually broke (the metal came apart from the plastic part). I called Knit Picks and they after pulling up my account they are sending out a new one no questions asked. Super impressed by their customer service!

Pattern:
My gauge is approx 7 st/in on a size 2 using fingering weight yarn. I want a blanket that is about 5’ across.
7 st X 12 in to a foot = 84 st/foot
84 st X 5 ft = 420 stitches

CO 420 st.
Row 1: K4, P4 until the end of the row.
Row 2: P4, K4 until the end of the row.
Row 3: K4, P4 until the end of the row.
Row 4: P4, K4 until the end of the row.

Row 5: P4, K4 until the end of the row.
Row 6: K4, P4 until the end of the row.
Row 7: P4, K4 until the end of the row.
Row 8: K4, P4 until the end of the row.

Repeat Row 1-8 until desired length.
