Saw this adorable baby jacket on Pinterest. Since we have a second grandniece due this July I have to try making this jacket for her.

My first try of the foundation chain and two rows was off…my bad…I didn’t read the pattern correctly.

I decided to draw a rough diagram to help me out. I’m a visual person and I like to compare diagrams to the written instructions. I just wish more designers would include them.

I’m re-enforcing the front edges with facing (pink felt) for the buttons and button holes. I found some cute pearly buttons in my stash. Still have to stitch down the facing and add a picot edging just around the collar.
