Notes

If there is one thing I don’t like about this project is the m1 made holes. If I ever make this again, I will find a way to do hole-less increase. I was hoping that the holes were only going to be more noticeable when the shawl was on the blocking board, they are ugly and messy looking, and ruin an otherwise lovely shawl. But they look just as bad when it dried. Since I couldn’t see past the holes so I gave the shawl to my daughter, who can see past them. The shawl is too big to wrap around my neck, and too small to wrap around me. My daughter on the other hand is small and thin. Perfect for her.

That being said, The yarn worked well. The Malabrigo is soft, made nicely defined cables, and was economical. At first I thought of making it with Madelinetosh, which I love. But the yardage is less and the cost is more. Malabrigo has always worked just as well for me.
I love cables, and these are just beautiful. I love the way they end giving a ruffle to the edge of the shawl.

The pattern is well written. Even though it looks difficult, I think it would be a nice beginner project for someone that wants to learn cables.
