My first lace project. I’ve tried lace once before, but that didn’t work out, mainly because of the yarn I used (Kidsilk Haze). The yarn was too itchy for my taste. Now I’m using Malabrigo lace, which I love!

17-02-2010: Done five repeats of Budding Lace Repeat. Using lifelines, something I had not even heard of this morning! Have not had to use them yet, but it is nice to have that little bit of extra security. It’s going well. I love the pattern. It is not too complicated, but you have to stay focused.

19-02-2010: Two days of steady knitting and it’s finished! In time for my mother’s birthday. It’s blocking now, and it looks lovely. Just a bit smaller than I expected, but not too small.
