Notes

May Debbie Zawinski forgive me for not using a handspun yarn! A friend brought “In the Footsteps of Sheep” to my attention at a time when I was also sampling the new Berroco Ultra Wool Fine: Super soft, thin, washable. Three loveable criteria for baby clothing. Choosing the Bowmont bootee pattern seemed a natural consequence.

While this has been a small project, I took my time with it. I very much enjoyed the pattern, with “just” normal dpns, straight forward instructions embedded in beautiful photography, and down to earth finishing instructions with a buttonhole-stitched loop for the button. It felt so good to make a project without flashy names for everything.

Note: The finished booties weigh 0.75 oz including buttons, so there is plenty of yarn left in that one ball.
