I first discarded Shaw as “too open around the neck” until a dear knitting friend pointed out that this design will welcome scarf and shawl accessories easily. Not that I wear those a lot, but I like the idea!

Then … the color. While Millstone Tweed comes in many gorgeous colors, I decided to go with something neutral … no regret! Linen is beautiful. and it shows the pattern beautifully.

The next surprise was the swatch. I had to go down in needlesize quite a bit, but then the swatch was right on, in rows and stitches!

I just finished the first sleeve and decided that I should start this project before my Shaw is done.

Millstone Tweed is a dream to knit.
