TURTLE Hexagon Pin Loom: Christmas Stockings

Country stocking in Galway Worsted.

Stocking made of variegated sock yarn with contrast top and heel.

Christmas brights in malabrigo Worsted.

Weave worsted weight on the original TURTLE Loom.

Weave sock/fingering weight yarn on the TURTLE "fine sett".

Sew 3 hexagons into a row.

Make 4 rows of MC hexagons.

Sew each row into a ring.

For the CC, make one ring (of 3 hexagons) for the top trim, and sew 2 hexagons together for the heel.

Start sewing the rings together.

For the leg, sew 2 rings MC and one ring CC together.

For the foot, sew 2 rings MC together, then add the 2 "heel" hexagons on top of that.

Fold the foot as shown, along the line of the heel hexagon.

Sew the heel along one side (blue lines).

Join the leg and the foot as shown.

The tip of the foot is still open. Sew 2 adjacent sides together, 3 times.

The sides meet in one point to form the tip.

This shows the final stocking, wrong side out.

Turn the sock right side out. Weave in remaining tails. Block as desired. Add a hanger and/or embellish the top trim.
