Notes

This is a “Getting Started” project for the Elongon™ 2” elongated hexagon pin loom.

This project uses the Elongon™ 2” loom only.

Credit for this table topper design goes to Eevee Tea.

Please note that the same design is used in two different versions:

  • For each table topper you will only need two colors.
  • The “swirls” go in different directions.

Weaving
(12) elongated hexagons in white
(12) elongated hexagons in black OR multi color

Assembly

  • Start by sewing the “cross” in the center. Make sure that opposite arms of the cross are in the same color.
  • Decide which direction you want the ‘swirl’ to go and use the pictures to guide you where to place the next black/colored motif. (Remember that you’re working with the right side facing down, so the swirls will turn when you turn the fabric.)
  • Fill in the gaps with white hexagons to complete that round.
  • For the next round, on opposite sites, sew 4 black/colored motifs next to each other to continue the swirl. Then fill in the rest of the round with white hexagons. Use the photos to guide placements.
  • Sew in all ends.
  • Block or wet finish as desired.

Note: You could also felt the black/white version of this table topper. We do not recommend felting the multi color version.
