Because I’m using some stashed Tosh DK and using the only 16” circs I have free at the moment, I’m going to go with the largest size in the pattern. I hope this works out as I really don’t have any spare money right now to be buying yarn or needles for this project, though I don’t want to wait to make this hat. I knew I had to make it the moment I laid eyes on it.

Worked the brim with the U.S. 5 and then switched over to the U.S. 7 for the rest of the work.

Done! First project done in the new year. :D

LOVE it!!! I’ve got it blocking now and I quickly need to find the perfect faux fur pompom for it because I need this on my head!

I’ll definitely be making more. Such a fun, fast knit. This colorway is all kinds of great, too. I’ll post another pic once I have the pompom attached.

Finally done drying (I hate blocking things in the winter; it always takes longer than you think it should).

Blocked measurements: 9” from center top to cast on edge.

Fits me perfectly with just a minimal amount of slouch if worn low just above the brow. There’s plenty of slouch if worn farther back with brim on the hair line. Made the largest size and kept all the numbers the same. Only changes were the yarn weight and smaller needles to compensate.
