I modified Alice’s pattern by turning this pull-over into a cardigan b/c I knew that I’d never wear it if it were a pull-over. I couldn’t settle on a single set of buttons (so I bought two sets), then turned chicken over the thought of working in button holes since I have yet to successfully knit in a buttonhole. Yes, I have no talent for buttonholes and I can only hide behind clasps for so long (pathetic!)…

UPDATE: I entered in all of the above yarn info based not on my notes (b/c I can’t find them!?!), but with what I remember and what the original yardages called for using the pattern yarn. Please keep in mind that since I modified this pattern, I increased the yardage for the colors used in the button band.

Also, for all of my sweaters, I usually purchase an extra skein of each color just in case I need it. Yes, I’m sure that’s a LYS’ dream b/c I don’t usually return unused yarn, but then I also tend to have a huge stash that I use for miscellaneous projects. With that said, I also don’t keep track if I do end up using part of that “savior” skein. So, the totals provided above don’t include that extra skein and are my best estimate of what I actually used.
