So far so good. I had a little hiccup early on because I had started with a needle size that was too large (size 2s) and now that I bumped down to 1s, everything is coming along smoothly.

Oh, and this is my first time knitting with square needles and I love them. I have a hard time with wooden needles and tend to break them at sizes as small as 1s, so the metal square needles really appeal to me. My other favorite for metal needles have been Hiya-Hiyas and I have those on hand as well as a back up in case I didn’t like the squares…..

The only thing I’ve changed with the pattern so far is to have 3 repeats of chart A rather than the 2 stated in the directions.

Update 3/08/2011: Turned the heel and have started working the foot. So far, so good….

Update 3/14/2011: Finished the first sock last night, sewed in ends, and casted on for the second sock. Keeping the momentum going…..

Update 02/01/2015: Needed to replace the toe on one sock. Thankfully, I saved the yarn!
