I’m following the dress instructions found in the book Westknits Bestknits Number 2: Sweaters.
I knit my top at a looser gauge, 22 versus the written 24 stitches per 4 inches. I’m hoping for around a 36” chest circumference, which will give it a looser fit/couple of inches of positive ease for me.
I went up a needle size for my icord edgings.
I knit a few plain rows after I separated for the second arm and then went right into the garter short row section to even the hem and make it into a short sleeve top.
I added a two inch/two color brioche border directly after the garter shortrows and bound off in pattern, as my icord hems invariably end up too tight.
