25 September 2021: all finished. Just in time for October!

Measurements taken flat:
Neck circ: 8.5”
Chest circ: 18”
Upper arm circ: 6”
Cuff circ: 2.5”
Sleeve length from underarm to b/o edge: 17”
Body length from underarm to b/o edge: 10.5”
Body length center front from c/o to b/o: 18”
From c/o edge to separation: approx. 9” +

about this sweater… I had originally planned to make Lion Brand’s Skulls Pullover but quickly realized that intarsia ins’t my bag. But I really wanted to knit a skulls sweater for halloween and so I just started knitting.

I knitted a birki using homestead a while back, and so I used that as my gauge.

I had to frog a couple of times to get the increases so that the yoke fits and isn’t constrained in any way. In the end, I think I got it right. Short rows, though, is another story. I could’ve done it better.

Also, I made up the sulfur symbol super fast, and I probably could’ve gotten away with making it one sitich less at the top.

23 September 2021: off the needles. Sweater weighs 392g, of which 45g is the cream color. Which means black is 347g.

Note: each sleeve ate up about 56-58g.

Will wash in the next couple of days and will mark it finished then.

18 September 2021: cast on.

US6: long tail tubular cast on (80 sts); plus two fdtn rows.
US7: 1 x 1 rib collar
US8: stockinette and colorwork.

Increases:
80 to 120
120 to 135
135 to 150
150 to 180
180 to 216
216 to 240
240 to 252

Did sleeve-body separation/stitch count like my birki:

• 48 sts per sleeve
• 78 sts front / 78 sts back
• Underarm c/o 8 sts per side
• 172 sts for body
• 56 sts for each sleeve

Sleeve decreases done differently than birki:
Knit 8 rounds before first decrease k2, k2tog, knit to last 4 sts, ssk, k2
Decrease every 8th round eight more times, down to 38 stitches
Knit 10 rounds
Switch to US6 for 1 x 1 rib, 20 rounds.
b/o in pattern?
