1 November 2024: I love this thing.

re: the pattern: just amazing. Never ever boring. Not complicated at all. Did catch one small error in the English written instructions for lace. Row 16. “(P1, k1) 3 times” isn’t right… should be 1DS instead of k1, no?

re: the yarns. I’ve knitted silkpaca before and it is just as beautiful as it was the first time I got my hands on it. As for malabrigo mohair. .. what a surprise. I think it really worked well with this pattern and held together with a neutral yarn to tone down the color changes. The result of these two yarns held together in these colors is beautiful.

Mods:
• used needle size bigger
• ktb (or ptb) all the edge yarn overs
• smaller section 3 edging. Three repeats. Did not do the last row of YOs. No picots.

Measurements:
A: 68” (expected since I ran out of yarn)
B: 41” (a tad off)

31 October 2024: doing a stretchy bind off (K2togtbl, K1 bind off demonstrated by Ysolda, https://ysolda.com/blogs/journal/3-stretchy-bind-offs?srs...)

And as luck would have it, with 30 sts left to bind off, ran out of mohair. Had to use a yard of minty green kidsilk from stash. But it’s now off the needles and it’s beautiful. Can’t wait to knit another.

30 October 2024: I really don’t want to buy another skein of malabrigo mohair, so section 3 will simply have to be a lot shallower. Will skip the picots, too.

23 October 2024: I absolutely love this pattern. Also love the yarn combination that I’m using.

Notes:
• confused about row 16 written instructions “(P1, k1) 3 times” not right, doesn’t match the chart… or am I reading something wrong? Either way I’m doing 1DS for the k1.
