What would I do without you?

My incredible mother-in-law suffered a stroke on August 18th, 2021. We are all very frightened and upset about this unexpected event. Everyone is doing their best to wrap their heads around the scope of her brain injury and what life will look like now going forward. Currently she has little to no feeling on her left side. Cognitively she seems to be very sharp still, but regardless, there is a long road of recovery ahead.

She is a strong, feisty woman and there is no doubt in my mind that she’ll make a huge comeback. If anyone can it’s her. This is Florence Ann Peacock we’re talking about here!

In the meantime, she asked me to knit her some gloves! Her hands are cold. She’s never asked me to knit her anything before that I can recall, and I am so grateful for this task. I feel powerless to do much more than visit her at the rehab facility and show up as best I can for the family. But knitting… THAT is something I can do. Healing vibes going into every stitch - especially the left glove.
