This is probably the first truly masculine thing I have made. I wanted to make something special for a male friend and just loved the way this pattern worked with the dark browns and splashes of colour.

The greens and naturals and reds used to create the corner of each square were odds and ends left over from other projects and each one is different, some are 2 ply, some chunky, some mohair, some cotton, some acrylic.

I altered the pattern slightly, 12 lines for the colour, then 10 each for the cream and mocha then 9 for the dark brown.

The border came from another book I had and is a couple of rounds of sc (us terms) the a round of dc, ch1 with 3 in the corner. A lobster claw cord is threaded through and the ends stitched together.
