I knit one of the samples for this lovely pattern and made size 6 (50”). This is a great design for newbies to colorwork because it’s just done on the sleeves and pocket, it knits fast and you can easily course correct. This was my first time making a sweater with a pocket, but Abbye and Selena make that part easy with their instructions and video tutorials.

My two biggest tips for even tension on the colorwork part, especially if you do more than two colors at a time like I did are:
1) knit the sleeves inside out (wool and pine has a tutorial on this) so that the floats don’t get too tight and
2) if you have floats longer than 5 stitches, use the ladder back jacquard technique (it’s easier than the name I promise!) to keep the floats close to the fabric so that your fingers don’t catch and snag the floats when you put on the sweater or place items in your pocket.
