Notes

LSG KAL “Haruni Shawl of DOOOOOOOOOOOOM” Would have been done sooner but I ran out of yarn because I went up 2 needle sizes. The pattern called for size 4s; I have tight gauge, so I generally go up a needle size for most patterns. I didn’t have any 5s, so I used a size 6. Thanks to PurpleJade for bailing me out of my yarn dilemma!

I didn’t do the garter tab; I started by CO9, k 3 rows, then went from there.

I used a gazillion stitch markers! I put one kind between each pattern repeat, and a different kind to mark the different portions inside the repeats.

srsly, the “crochet” bind off can be done with knitting needles, and bonus, the k3tog is MUCH easier.

Thanks to TrishInNC for the bindoff:
K4tog as the pattern states; you’ll have 1 stitch on the right needle and remaining stitches on the left as usual. YO, pass stitch on right needle over YO (like a regular bind-off). Repeat this 5 more times. K3tog, and pass the existing stitch (from chaining) over the loop created by the k3tog. Continue on. End with K4tog.

Pre-blocked: 32” wide by 17” deep
Blocked: 49” wide by 27” deep
Epic blocking was epic! 1 blocking wire, 13 mats, and 225 pins!
