I grew up Jewish, and just about everything requires a Minyan (10 adult Jews). After Despicable Me came out, the next few times my (non-Jewish) husband heard the word Minyan, he would offer jokes about Minions from the movie. My mom heard one recently but didn’t get it, so we watched the movie. She wanted a Minion SO BADLY, so I knit her one. The folks visiting that evening came up with the idea to name him Moishe, and to give him a yarmulke and tallit. My mom now has her own portable Minyan, and I can’t wait to hear what happens when she whips him out at Temple when someone calls for a Minyan!

I used scrap yarn for all of it; the yarmulke is crocheted but everything else is knit.
