Notes

Warped with STR using Syne Mitchell’s painted-skein warp technique, including flipping the colors to create stripes (last part of article).

12 epi, 100 ends, approx. 105” warp length (3x the repeat length). Striped thus: 12 pairs - 7 pairs - 12 - 7 - 12
Warp weight approx. 132g (38g left of skein) - so about 315 yards including waste from flipping.

Woven length:

Off loom, measures 69” x a hair over 7”. Total weight 152g before trimming fringe - so weft weight is 20g or about 200 yards.

Color is most accurate in the skein photo. The gray is really gray - not blue.

Weft: Habu Tsumugi silk, approx. 10 ppi. Color is a warm beige. Subtle if not invisible in this project, but it contributes so much to the look and luxurious feel - giving the scarf a very satisfying heft.

Washed in hot tap water with Eucalan, pressed while still damp. Ridiculously pleased with this project!
