9.1.18 After looking at several other Ravelry knitters’ Alleghenys, I decided to do ribbing at the bottom rather than a turned up hem. I’d originally stopped at the end of a cable, but decided the 60’s Mod length wasn’t as flattering, so I backed up and then worked part of another cable. I’m thrilled with how it looks, and the yarn is so soft that I don’t need to line it. For once, I’ve finished something in time to wear it for the perfect season- autumn!

So excited to be using Blue Moon Fiber Arts yarn! I did the collar on a size 8, but it was pretty small, so I’ve redone it on 10.5s and will go down to 9s to start the yoke. The pattern is gorgeously written and I know I can work it and try it on if I need to modify the needle size. Love the yarn, the color, and the pattern. Oh, and it’s my first knitted dress!
