I’d made it known to my family that I wanted to knit for them instead of me, so my sister took me up on the offer. During a visit by my mom, my mom took one of my nieces to placeholder- I’ll need to ask my mom for the name of the store! a yarn store there in Grand Junction, CO and Laurel picked out a pattern. Mom got it and the yarn and they shipped it to me. It turned out well! The reason why I didn’t give the pattern itself a 5 star rating is that it’s fiddly. There’s a lot of finishing to do (making ties, making loops), which isn’t my favorite, but I’m quite pleased with my variation on the toggle loops. The fish buttons came from JoAnn’s.
