I realized that I was really wanting to knit a conversation piece, and this is it! And not only that, but I have a LOT of leftover stash yarn in the perfect weight, the amazing Blue Moon Fiber Arts Silkmo!!!

1.5.20 This pattern confuses the shit out of me. I made a front and back as it notes on page 84 of the book, then has you make the top with the cables. I’m re-checking out this book from the library and have looked all over online to see what’s going on because nobody else seems to have an issue, but it seems as though the front and back pieces have nothing to do with the Ojai top itself. Did I accidentally knit another garment? I’m now starting on the part with the ‘cables’ which are actually long loops. So confused, but continuing on.

3.8.20 At long last, completed. The front and back top in the book still have nothing to do with this garment. So bizarre. I think I’ll really enjoy this garment! It’s quite unique and I’m glad I made it.
