The yarn I’m using is not really a direct substitute for the one in the pattern, but it came out OK. I couldn’t get the Knitpicks yarn and I think mine is slightly thicker.

UPDATE: Have finished this project but made a bit of a mess of it (as usual!). I couldn’t get the last few rows right (partly due to my poor eyesight) and I decided to make it into an ear-flap hat. My current hat is in that style and I like the look.

Apologies to the designer of the pattern, the pattern was fine and fun to do, I just wanted ear flaps! I would like to do another of hers - maybe the star pattern? Haven’t decided yet. Might even have another go at this one and make it a bit better.

This was my first attempt at Fair Isle crochet and it came out pretty good, I think. :o)
