Started this with mostly scraps from my ENORM stash of super-cheap acrylics but also with a few little bits of leftover Wendy Merino.

Got as far as joining the legs to the bum and realised that the awful cream acrylic I was using for the joining round was spoiling it for me. The Wendy Merino bits felt (and looked) so nice compared to the rest of it that I had to frog the whole lot and start again.

Have ordered some more Wendy Merino from Kemps today and hope it comes soon because I want to get this project done. Doh, it was supposed to use up my scraps…..

YAY, Kemps has come through with the lovely Wendy Merino. I can’t wait to get started on this thing…..watch this space :)

OK, so I’m getting on very well with this apart from one or two niggles. Firstly I’m not 100% happy with all the motif colours - only 1 or 2 but I don’t want to take it all apart and re-do them so I’ll carry on.

Secondly, and most important. I only realised afterwards, but having a pink centre in the “bum” octagon is a bad idea. It looks properly like an anus and that is NOT CUTE. Again, I can’t be bothered to change it now but take note if you’re about to make one. DON’T USE PINK FOR THE CENTRE OF YOUR FIRST MOTIF!!

Apart from that, going fine and the pattern is easy to follow. Like!
