My first wearable garment, although not my first try at one (more like the bazillionth). Love this pattern, very detailed and has tons of options for making difference sizes and what not.

Needed a lot of help and advice from the designer and the posters on her group forum, they were lovely and friendly and helpful. Probably would have given up without them, so thanks to them all.

I won’t bore everyone with the mistakes I made. Also, they were my mistakes and not the pattern’s. I would deffo recommend this pattern.

I will make more of these, but not necessarily in merino wool. Currently making a cotton one, which will be easier to wash etc.

I found the buttons a bit awkward to attach, but found a helpful video on YouTube.

FINALLY! finished at last. Took me a long time to get the buttons on how I wanted them. This has been a really interesting project with lots of firsts for me.

I’ve put finished photos on here, despite not realising how chubbo my arms are until I saw them on the screen (sob). I hope they’ll be of use to someone else who’s picking up courage to make this as a novice crocheter.

Eagle eyed peeps will notice that I frogged back by one pattern repeat after blocking. I thought it came out a bit too long, but maybe I should have left it? DOH!!
